Organised by EIT Climate-KIC and the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME), this event will explore how the efficient design and funding of circular economy research & innovation can support nations all over the world with their economic recovery plans. and strengthen climate resilience through innovation. The EIT Climate -KIC community is a pioneer in testing and delivering such innovative solutions and a movement for rapid change. During 2017 we have been working across our community to explore how EIT Climate-KIC can speed up impact on whole systems through innovation. This theory of change: As set in the EIT Regulation, the EIT funding on average may not exceed 25% of a KIC's overall funding, which means that the remaining minimum 75% must come from non‐EIT sources. The non‐EIT funding may include KIC partners' own resources, public funding at national, regional and EU level, such Cross-KIC Sustainable Cities aims at strengthening collaboration across innovation communities for European carbon-neutral cities by 2030. All the KICs of Cross-KIC Sustainable Cities are working with cities in one form or another, and are critical actors in the climate, food, mobility, and digital spaces, respectively.

EIT Manufacturing is the continuation of the EIT-KIC partnership of the same name currently implemented through the EIT. It was established in 2019 for a maximum duration of 15 years, following a call for proposal in 2018. Expected type and composition of partners - EIT Manufacturing currently manages a formal partnership of 50 partners, Valencia, 9 May 2018. EIT Climate-KIC Spain has held its Partners’ Day, a meeting with the Spanish network of partners that aims to raise awareness of the EIT Climate-KIC priorities through the areas of Focus, provide in-depth information on the impact goals and increase the possibilities of collaboration and networking among participating entities.
